Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musical family. Her early years were spent listening to traditional music, old boleros and traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana is a fan of tangos. Additionally, she enjoys operas and any form drama. At age 16 she began singing and learning music with her mum. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started to give her more intense singing instruction. In Guadalajara, she attended the School of Music of University of Guadalajara as well as in Toluca at The School of Sacred Music. Her early professional career included performances with a variety of orchestras, chamber ensembles, and opera choirs in Guadalajara. After moving from Mexico to the United States in 2000, she sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo in traditional Latin American music at private performances. Ana is involved in a variety of local organizations, both as a teacher as well as a performer due to her enthusiasm of music and art. Ana is also previously a member of Community Chorus of Redlands as well as The Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana appreciates having the chance to share her love and passion of traditional Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to inspire a passion particularly among the younger generation, to help keep this tradition alive.Viva Mexico!
